:D Just woundering I have heard that people have kept baby pike and muskie in big aquariums. Is that even posible. If so how do you get a hold of one. Has anyone ever had one :naughty:

i think people have kept them but i wouldnt know how to get ahold of one. i think pikes and muskies are bad ass lookin predators though and i wouldnt mind owning one, but they get to be pretty damn big so youd need a huge ass tank. where in so cal? camp pendelton

no out in the middle of no where 29 palms. ya my buddy wants one and we found a place to get them for tanks but they will not ship to cal. bc every thing is illegal in cal stupied

Like CM says, you'd need a huge tank for a muskie. Your best bet may be a chain or grass pickerel for anything smaller than a 300gal. A few of our sponsors carry them in the spring. But, you'll have a hard time getting anyone to ship these to you since they're prohibited in CA.

Source: California Code of Regulations, title 14, section 671. These regulations are promulgated by the California Fish and Game Commission pursuant to statutory authority set forth in the California Fish and Game Code. (There's a statutory list too, but the one from the regulations is more complete. The statutes only contain the original list, whereas the regulations also include all species added by the Commission.)

The best thing about California is that no matter the laws there is always somebody to break them :D

that list is like every fish you can put in an aquarium except for goldfish

I know. I thought when I left San Diego that I'd be able to keep some of the fish on that list. I didn't find out 'til too late that MS's list is worse.

did you get busted. hope not. so what kind of fish do u have. i know i have some im not allowed to have but i got them from pet stores

Believe me, getting them from pet stores is no viable excuse to F&W. If you look back at some of my old threads, you'll see I was raided last summer. If you only have one or a couple of tanks, you're probably OK so long as you don't go showing them off or get someone mad enough at you to drop a dime on you. I have over 100 tanks in my personal collection and I own RCCR (Red-Claw Crayfish Ranch) with 12,000gallons worth of hatching and rearing bins.

I thought all personnel were relocated from 29 stumps to Miramar? Or, did they just move El Toro? I kinda lost track since I retired from the Navy (77-97).
