Pike Capabilitys

Can a pike take the face off of a paroon shak just slightly smaller than itself? I wanna know because saw one at the lfs like that and the guy said it was the pike that did it there is also a hujeuta in the tank but it doesnt even eat.

it could if it tried to eat it and couldn't finish it my convict suffered the same fate but by my jaguar cichlids i think found it with its face chewed off kinda sad but cichlids do that alot

I had a birchir that died a similar way thanks to my pike.

okay then wanted to know because if i bought that it might happen to my fish.

just make sure that the fish are all good sized and keep the pike full

Just a question, does anyone know if pike would be compatible with Amphilophus Lyonsi?
Lyonsi are known to be agressiver but I've seen them with other fish. Just wondering if they'd be ok with a pike.
