My pike cichlid has hole in the head and for the last three weeks and I've been treating with metro+ and salt all the water perimeters are fine as water is replaced every three days. He's only been getting worse and has also stopped eating so I decided to start treating with methylene blue ( he's starting to develop fungus ), searchem paragaurd for lesions as well as continuing metro+ and salt. He is now belly up but seems to have more energy and is breathing more strongly. Any advise on how to fix this would be appreciated.

What species of pike is it? I dealt with something similar with mine but not nearly as severe. If it's a softwater species, treating the hith will take more than treating with medication. You will have to adjust the pH of your water. After I adjusted the pH and softness of my water, I treated with tetra parasite guard and it completely cleared up for me. I adjusted my water with a combination of peat and discus buffer.

I'm also treating my fish for hith but they're in the minor stage of it. Found this video that I thought was quite good.

I don't know what kind of pike cichlid he is, I'll lower the ph and follow the instructions in the video thanks.

any pictures? This sounds like more then HITH.
Also I think a lot of pikes are very nitrate sensitive. What are they?

Sorry about not responding in a timely manner, unfortunately i can not take any pictures. I'm doing 100% water changes every two days so the specs should be fine. His fins have developed holes, which are small and perfectly circular, in them and he now has a bulge in his stomach area which seems to be causing him to be floating. How do I fix his swim bladder?
