I have a reticulated ray and was wondering if a pike cichlid would be okay to mix with the ray? I haven't found any info online about that combination.
Also what species of pike cichlid? I have a 7.5 in Crenicichla multuspinosa in my 240 w/ 2 baby motoros and pbass, etc. You might have to keep and eye on cichlids picking rays disks. It happened to mine, but it isn't an issue now.

They are both pretty small. The ray's disc is about 5in. and the pike is somewhere between 4 and 6 inches. I am not at all worried about the ray killing or eating the pike, I am more worried about if the pike would attack the ray or not.

I am not sure exactly what type of pike it is, but I know it is pretty common. I had one of them that looked like it in the past. It is tanish brown and has some darker stripes and a thin red stripe lining it's fins.
I have Oscars currently in with the ray and I have read that they are a questionable tank mate for the ray. I was planning to move them to a different tank, but my open tank has a leak. So far they have done very well with each other. The Oscars have ignored the ray and they are larger than the pike I was thinking of getting. From my past experiences my pikes were always more aggressive than any oscars I kept.
