pike hybrids?

I was just wondering if any of the true crenicichlaholics know if there are any pike hybrids? I currently have a large male marm and wanna maybe try crossing him with something else.. just wanted to know if it could be done..

You can try, but, getting pikes to pair and spawn with thier own kind is pretty tough, especially the Lugubris types (your Marm), there have only been a couple recorded spawnings of the large types of pikes.

Thank you for your reply. I know that breeding them is not an easy feat, I was just wondering if it is possible, because I have never seen a pike hybrid, in any size.

Pike cichlids seem to be the smartest cichlids, as they appearantly have no interest in crossing outside their species. I've yet to come across an account of a mix in either print or online thank goodness.
