Pike ID please

Can somebody tell what kind of pike this is? He's about 11" and I picked him up for $20.00 earlier today from a lfs that has had him forever. Thanks.

Welcome to the land of Crenicichlaholics mate!! You're going to love them! Absotuley awesome cichlids for sure,and the one you got is a great one to start with. Looks like a male Crenicichla sp. 'venezuela'. Gorgeous pike at that! Props to you! Definitely a great score for that size and price!!

Don't just rely on me though! There are TONS of other members here in the Crenicichla forum that know their stuff!! They deserve oodles of credit as well!! They help make this forum what it is!

Thats the best thing about this hobby is we still have something we can learn from each other. Its a never ending learning process, and I'm right there with the rest of you! Love it!
