Got these guys online and seller had them labeled as Atabapo? They kinda look like Venz, they are about 6-7 inches long. Can you guys confirm what they are? Got two of them.

looks like venny to me / i just gave one away and still have another that im tring to get rid of ,around here they are the most common and im tring to make tank space / but nice fish ,they eat alot
Those are not Atabapo. Atabapo are rare and expensive, What did you pay? Last ones I had went for $150.

They are not Atabapo Fires but may be Atabapo lugubris. The mid body stripe almost looks too wide for a Ven.
I'd hang onto these guys just to see what they end up looking like. You might be pleasantly surprised...
