LFS said it just came in as a Pike. It is probably 10 inches long at this point in time. Faint dark stripes that you can see a little bit and the fin is very red. Right now he just likes sitting in/next to the cave with my catfish.

Thank you. I've been looking into getting one, and this one just sort of fell into my lap. Looking forward to seeing it settle in. I've been trying to research and determine if it is male or female. Any particular things I can look for? All I keep seeing is that males are larger and females are more colorful.

It's a male. Females have a white stripe on the dorsal fin and sometimes it carries over to the top of caudal fin.
