i am wondering if a Crenicichla compressiceps will go ok in a 120 with 2 uaru A, 4 gold gourami, 1 BN plec, 7 clown loaches, 4 angel fish. i know it is one of the smallest pikes and it looks quite nice but i am unsure of compatibility.
any info thoughts are appreciated guys.:)

ehh its risky uarus get some what big so its iffy most likely you could but i'd go for a bigger pike dwarf pikes can be pretty aggressive but you got room for it so hard to say you probably could get away with it

You will be fine. If anything the Uaru might get pushed around by the little compy....lol. An adult comp. is going to be large enough that it would take another predatory fish to eat it, like a bay snook or oscar...;). So far everything you have posted is more than compatable. Should compliment it quite well actually!

Have you ever considered Hoplarchus psittacus? Or Caquetaia myersi? BOTH are awesome fish, and would look awesome in that set up! ;)

i have thought about the true parrott fish but its finding one that is the problem here in the uk. not so keen on the looks of the Caquetaia myersi but i have a feeling, like most fish, that photos dont do it justice. it is a nice max size though of 19cm or so. about the size fish i am looking for. i want my uaru to be the biggest in the tank so they dont get bullied.
it wasnt the compy i was worried about. it was my little dudes (uarus) they are my babies so they take priority over everything except my clowns. hence so much research into filling the space i have.
i am a complete novice with pikes so some names to research would be appreciated guys, something under 12" and can live peacefully with uaru and the rest of my fish.
many thanks guys

caquetaia myersi are cool fish but might eat a compressiceps unless you got a female and a large comp then it could work for a while but still the pike may get slurped

i was just enquiring as i have some space in my 4x2x2 so i am looking for a show piece to complement my uaru/loaches. i have asked about tigers (dats) too, i havent made my mind up yet. the caquetaia myersi probably looks better than the pics but i am finding it hard to find pikes even by delivery. so i dont think pikes are for me.
thank you for the info though guys it has been a great help to me. your effort is much appreciated.
