pike in pond

i just drained my pond to pull out my pike, gar, and knives, i thought i lost the pike cause i couldnt find it. over the last 2 days i put 50 rosy reds in and not one was in there. i got the pike a month ago 2 1/2 in long and not much bigger around than a pencil ok maybe a sharpie marker. In that month it is now 5 inches long and thick as hell. he came out a monster in the making. anyone else had a pike grow 2 1/2 inches in a month? my african brown knife didnt grow much neither did the needle nose gar. sad to say my clown knife didnt make it

by the way the other pike that it was the same size as is still at the pet store and still the same size it was. sad how fish dont grow at the lfs.

dude looks liek a sveni hey are u near cr and did u buy up those pike from petsmart cuz if so i hate u my sveni choked on a rosey
i didnt get to see the pikes but neways if ur near cedar rapids iowa thats where im located at

im in waterloo, i got this pike at petco a month ago. petsmart still has the 3 that i think are venezuala, and petco still has the other one that this one was in with for 10 bucks.

i just picked up the other pike they had at petco that was the same as the one i have, just smaller. im hoping they turn out to be male/female.

Yap thats a Sveni it was most likely hideing because of all the other fish which i assume were much larger

others were big goldfish, 2 6" pacu, 2 needle nose gar and an african brown knife. it was the toughest fish in there. its just a really big pond with alot of plants and its hard to see small fast fish that like to stay to the shadows. its all good now he's inside for the winter and thriving. i watched him put away 12 or 13 rosey reds in 1 minute. and he's only about 5 inches long.
