pike in the uk

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
to be honest im only looking in to it i might not get one i was just curious ,i know how large they get as i fish for them i was hopeing to maybe grow one out in a tank and then put it in a pond

It can be done but pike really don't do well in captivity...They stress so easily and as mentioned if you can get one small enogh and get it feedingTANK BUSTER is best to describe!!! Pull one out your canal will be fine, but it is illeagal to put it back in once removed and taken off site!!!Theres nothing to stop you keeping one, prob best to google a fish farm in your area and buy one of them!! Best advice i can give you is don't bother, but it's up to you...Biggest problem is getting a tank big enough...You would be better of getting a micropeltes or hoplias if you want preadatory fish...Hoplias been brutally preadatory, you tube it you will see...

Regards

You probably would get better responses if this were posted in the main forum and not the media section.

could not have put it better myself, you can get them but not usually through the LFS route. there are plenty other fish that would be better to keep than a pike.

i moved this for you.
