after looking at some of these shots of your fish i have fallen in love with pikes :drool:

but i hardly know anything about them , canu u guys give me either a awsome link or just a crash course in pikes.

i need to know sizes, tank perams , food, tank sizes , agresiveness??

thanks guys

ps awsome piccys :):headbang2:headbang2:headbang2

try going on tropicalfishfinder.co.uk (i think) and search 'crenicichla', good info on there and will be able to tell you where you can get some from.

Tank size, as big as you can get! The mfk bug bites bad:drool:

the smallest i'm aware of off the top of my head grows to 10". But then i've never kept any and can't remember their names. I believe that if your bushfish are small enough to be eaten then they will be eaten. A 3' tank might be a little cramped for it anyway at that size. Hopefully someone will be able to give you some more useful info.

ok that link says the dwarf pikes are 3-4 inches thats a little small but others like u say are saying 4-5 inches so with my habit of overfeeding and over growing fish this species may be perfect . thanks for the link but keep em coming guys

that tank is a black water habitat soon to have floating plants too.

as far as agression goes my fish are faily hardy , other fish in the tank are congo tetras , bristle nose adult (8 inches) , some skunk loaches and my bush fish do u thing these may need to be moved or will they cope all right

Be particularly careful when you're picking out a pike. Mine started out small, but as she's gotten older her patterns have changed and it's looking like my fish that was supposed to max out at 6 inches is going to be about twice that size. They are extremely difficult to ID when young and the bigger they are the more likely they are to make lunch out of your tetras.

Mine will eat until she can't anymore and then just kill anything smaller than her and free swimming that's left in the tank. I'm keeping her with a larger rhino pleco and they get along fine. I think it's because the pleco doesn't draw attention to itself and they are the only fish in my 55 gallon at the moment.

I'd recommend being sure that you have another tank for the tetras in the event that the pike doesn't like them. The pleco should be fine. As to the others, I can't say for sure.

I too fall inlove with pikes!!

Its has the most types and for that very reason is why they should be labled the # 1 cichlid in the world.

You have to translate it but here is a great website for you:
