They are occasionally on aquabid, there's a trio up right now in fact. I'd say someone on MFK should get a group and sell fry on here.

Louisville? I second the request for them in KY.. Would be nice to have a breeding trio.

They are introduced in Western Florida but native to Mexico. Several US states have them on the banned list. I think the main reason we don't see them very often is that they are hard to ship in quantity as they are so cannibalistic. Pity, These are one of my favorite species. Greafish, easy to keep and breed in a moderately sized tank.
