umm maybe that piek mite be a more realistic redfin chain peckrel ...:D easyer to keep in the long run ...last photo is a northern pike..

To be honest a pike is not such a silly fish to keep. I mean we have people on here keeping Alligator gars they get to 400lb + and 10ft long. So a pike not a bad alternative. The male or Jack only gets to about 6-7 lb the females are the big ones. The other plus it would take years to grow out this female is 6 lb and known to be 2 ½ years old. Also you could actually release this into some ones lake with there permission of cores and not be an eco warrior. And no heater required on tank cheap to run. If you get one let us see it picks please.Then again it could turn into this bad boy

wow check this out guys. I made that post earlier today sometime got bored around 4.30pm. so i went to this large swamp about 7 miles away. i went there to catch some crappy and i did catch one crappy but i caught a chain pickeral.. first pickeral ive ever caught .. ive caught large northerns before but this guy is perfect. what a coincident.. hes about 13 inches. ive got him in a 30 gallon round plastic container right now until the water warms up to room temp then hes going in the tank...ill add more pics once i get him in the tank..

You don't have to go to a pond to catch crappy, you can catch them in your toilet.
