Greetings pike enthusiast. I have a few atbapo pikes coming in and want to have the best shot at preventing this issue. I have kept a few pikes before and know how sensitive they can be to water quality. What do my fellow Monster Fish Keepers use to filter their pike tanks and how often should one do water changes on these wonderful fish? Please feel free to post ur pikes and of your pike filters. Maybe share your routine on scheduled water changes. Would love to see more pike pics. thaxMFK. I kno you guys won't let me down.:popcorn::popcorn:

i,m a real pike lover,
it depends how big your aquarium is ,and how good your pumps are ..and what you have inside your pump, but i change half my water in 2 weeks.
i have pikes for years ....

tip for you , if you have a copple , lay some pipes inside your aqua....
most of the time a pike gets killed in a aqua , the trouble was a shelther problem.
men and wive got to have a save place from eighother ... somethimes the men is the boss, and somethimes is the women the boss .... and that can change in day time, night time,or being in love or not.... ,new otherfish ... so becarefull with that...

just make sure you have soft, clean water, usually at a lower pH for the atabapo. leave the carbon out of your filters, i've heard that can lead to irritation of their pits initiating HITH or LLE. keep plenty of water moving in the tank and i'd change the water once a week, that's what i try with my psittacus who are also prone to HITH. good luck
