I have had a Crenicichla lugubris for about 8 months now and my friend just gave me another. I was wondering how to sex them, how their mating behavior is and what I have to do to get them to breed sucessfully in my tank. Thanks guys!

is it just Lugubris or one of the sp of lugubris. Most are sexed easily at about 8" by looking at the dorsal. Most females will get a white stripe, maybe some red in the belly.
