Pike tankmates

How will a crenicichla lepidota do in a tank with convict cichlids and firemouth and severum cichlids????

I think the con would be the one causeing all the prob's. The others would work.

should be fine, but watch out for the ever-prevalent possiblity of any cichlid being aggressive

i havent had any experience with con's breeding but i hear they can be vicious. i got a con and a firemouth with my pikes and they get along jsut fine.

I dont' recall him saying that the multiple convicts were a breeding pair. Are they?

Provided you don't have problems with breeding pairs of cons, the rest should be fine. I keep my two Johanna females with severums. The male severums will lip-lock fight with the Johannas once in a a while, but that's really the extent of the aggression.

ok well the cons have bred 3 times but it is very sporadic and they havent caused any problems, as the fry have been eaten in th early stages every time
what size tank would u reccomend lifetime for a lepidota?

I have my 2 pike in with a pair of con's he keep the fry under control.
