we just got them @ the store...
i say they look very odd and nice for a gourami thats y im taking one...
cant find information on books and online tho lol

any1 knows this fish??...

Cool looking fish, but I've never kept them.
Just curious, where are you and what are they retailing for store? Don't know what "PH, MTL" means.

yeah thats about the only information i can find on the web...
its retailing @ 9.99$ and its abt 4inches.

i wanted to know if its predatory...
threw a couple of feeder guppies and they swallowed it like crazy!!

Yeah, the pike shaped head in any fish usually means it's a predator. The question is: will it take pellets? For that price, I'd buy it. My best guess is that it's an ambush predator and I'd put it in a tank with lots of cover.

Great fish, more common in europe than here, most of the sites I found were in German or Dutch. Prefer acidic water. Apparently fairly easy to breed, Very large mouths and appetites, somewhat hard to get off live food but will take worms and crickets as well as fish and shrimp. Nice price, does your LFS ship?
