Pikes and refugiums

Anybody ever try this? And or the Miracle Mud? Seems like they feel it is great way to contend with HLLE-I'd love to hear anyones feeback/experience.

Sounds like a good experiment.... Make sure you have one control, and two test, so you can compare results. It seems like it would be a good idea, as they do filter and provide things that regular set ups don't.
