i have 3 tanks one 1200 gallon another 300 and 90 gallon.

i have 1 very large lenticulata pair in the 1200 i had to split up because the male is beating the female! she is now in a 90 gal hospital tank!

i also have a trio of atabapo reds in the 300.

none of them eat? not a single one??

i have many other fish in those tanks all eat why not the pikes? they look at foods but wont eat it? these fish are worse than discus right now
i tried live earthworms and they just look at it

anybody know any techniques to getting small and big pikes eating again?? live foods? anything

well figured out they eat feeders only lol and are really spooked by my rays

I was watching this thread with interest as I have a pike that seems to be on a hunger strike.
Guess Ill stick with feeders too....

Patience is key. I got a Saxatilis pike that only ate feeders and I basically starved him for a month before he gave in and took pellets. Every few days I'd give him a tiny chunk of frozen bloodworms (he loved those) to keep his appetite up and keep him interested in food. I would always hand-feed this directly to him at feeding time, the same time I threw in pellets for all his tankmates. Eventually I just made the bloodworm feedings fewer and far between, and then he eventually started picking up pellets and spitting them out. I'd say within two weeks of starting that, he was devouring them. Now he's the first one at the top of the tank when I grab the bag of food.

I was at my lfs and asked the guy how he got his pikes and goliath fish to eat pellets...he said he soaks his pellets in blood worm and fish guts juice, for an hour and then feeds them the pellets and they go nuts.....
