I have 3 pikes in one tank two i got together an one was there before. my lil 5inch belly crawler is trying to beat up on the two new an bigger venezula(sp) should i just take out the belly crawler an put him in a diff tank or do you think they be fine after while.

It will probably get worse once they grow some more. Pikes get along best with fish that don't look like another pike.

better move em or the belly crawler will end up AS FOOD trust me. the venezuela grow huge and do it fast. they should be able to down your belly crawler any time they feel like it after the next 4 to 6 months. mine went from 3" to 12 in a matter of 4 months so prepare for a big fast growin AGGRESSIVE pike.

LoL!! Keepin pikes together is a gamble, keepin different TYPES of pikes together is even harder. U best move either the 'venezuela' or the 'belly crawler' or you are gonna have some dead fish. Don't underestimate them....lol. With pikes, you need to give them plenty of room, plenty of hiding places, and a lot of respect. Generally speakin, you get a group of the same type of pike and try keepin them together. When I say group i mean three or more. The reasons you do this is one it lowers aggression on any one fish, so its more spread out. Two it allows them to pair up naturally, by their own selection. Pikes are notorious for not likin to have their mates chosen for them. You can get lucky and get a pair outa two before, which is what happened to me with my xingu III a looong time ago. But that was super lucky. Ur 'venezuelas' are probably gonna start fightin here pretty soon as well....either get some more of them to break up the aggression or get rid of one and just keep one of each. OOR get a MUCH larger tank...150 + gallons....and put them all in together.
