Hey, Since I am giving my oscars, and other fish to my dad my 3'' Turquoise severum will be lonley. So can I keep pikes with them??? The tanksize will be 75 gallons.
Thanks,
Alex. Big Sev Fan

i think you probably could. if its only one severum tho i might suggest putting some other fish in there so aggression is spread of it there is any. what pikes u thinking of getting?

I don't know what kind. I may a thread for that. yeah its 1 severum. I will be adding some bala sharks and silverdollars as dithers. So it will be the sev, pikes(I choose), balas and sds. I am thinking orange pikes or belly crawlers could be a possiblity will see.

I've got my two Johnannas in with 3 adult severums and a school of silver dollars. So far, it's worked out well. There's a few tiny little squabbles at feeding time (mostly among the sevs), but that's about it.

If you choose belly crawlers you will likely never see them. I have two in a tank with salvinis, and the big female spends all of her time in a cave under a piece of driftwood. The male, I call my little owl...he hangs out in a pocket in the driftwood peeking out. They come out to eat, but that's about it.

If you take a piece of slate and prop it up against the front sheet of glass it gives shy pikes a good hidding spot but still makes them veiwable.

just get more Sevs. the combo looks great as you have the peaceful sevs with the hunting pike.
But I want to try some pikes.
