pima scales close up

Hey John,

That is pretty sweet looking, I notice your Pima has a lot of red. Do you think the color is a trait of sexual dimorphism, or merely diet.

I have noticed that when stressed or moved, they'll lose their colors. And have also noticed, once in a while there are some that are 80% covered in red scales, some contribute it to diet, some to genetics. Does anyone have picture of the one that is like almost entirely red?

i think it genes and food........always been told you cant sex 'um until they spawn......

never seen much more red.....seems that the red area is increasing percentage wise with time ( growth ?)

also note that when knocked out ( tricane-s) and moved he still retained alot of red despite the stress level
