my arapima mainly only swims at the top and just swims along the glass does yours do this?

I was just thinking, my pima is a very yung 5"1/2 ive had him for a week. So i dont see him swiming on the surface due to the fact he is yung and in the wild he would be easy prey for birds. He seems like he is attacking him self in his reflection he evin stayed on the bottam in his quorantine tank well doing circles on the side glass. I ammagine when he settles into this tank he mite go to the surface to swim more. What do you guys think? oh and he likes to kill guppys for the fun of it. I watched him do it a little while ago. his belly is full and he snatches a guppy then he spits them out like its a game he evin bites the cord to the thermomiter lol. also in the bigger tank he isnt as scared of me now.

Nice little pima. I have no experience with pimas and neither with clown knives (if that is that big white blurry thing in the middle). Is a 5" pima (or a 5" fish in general) safe with what looks like a 1'-1.5' clown knife?

Someone else wrote on the Catfish forum they transferred 4" RTC and 4" TSN into a 125 gal with a 1' clown knife in it. Is that safe too? Clown knives are deceptive and do have big mouths.

I'd love to raise a 'pima...what are your long term housing plans? I currently have a 7" silver aro, and a 6" tsn that I'm going to end up building an indoor pond for.

weve already planned on a oval indoor pond, but for now he is in a 90gal and in a month he will be housed in a 250gal then transfered into his new pond. we are getting ready for that when my 250 is up and going.i will only have 1 fish in these grow out tanks minus my l200 placo. wich when the pima gois into the 250 the placo will stay in the 90gal.
