Pimelodis Blochii - Barbel damage.

My large Blochii has lost about an inch or so from one of his maxillary barbels, I noticed the damage a couple of days ago, since then the damaged section has withered and dropped off.
Anyone know if these grow back??

same happend to mine form cichlids it healed but I don't think it will ever be as long as it was

yes they grow back but often not as long

if the base is fine, it will grow back
