So i saw a 2” four lined pim at the LPS, and i was wondering how fast they grow to be able to catch up with a 7” long Oscar. I would probs grow him out in a 65 gallon tank for a while, i‘m just wondering how fast they grow. Thanks any response is very helpful

Probably 1-2 years.

Think you would be looking something like 9 month to get to 6-8" and 12-18 to get to 10".
he won't ever catch your Oscar but would be big enough to go in with at 6" imo , by which time your Oscar could be 10-12"

And how long would that be until he is 6?

How much do you feed?
Pretty heavily but ill Feed the catfish at night so that the Oscar doesn’t get it

They will add 0.5"-1" per month the first half a year to a year under adequate care. Then will slow down by 5-10 times. Chances are they will never exceed 10"-11".
