last week i had gone to one of lfs i rarely visit and i saw one of the red texas which has been there for nearly six months, i had seen this texas when he was like 2" and had lost his tail recently by jumping into a bigger FH tank
his tail is not going to grow as the injury was pretty ghastly and all that is left is a stubby tail which has healed up pretty nice
this fish was labeled at 45$ and i had explained the fellow that this fish is stunted as it is just 4" and its tail is not going to grow so if you give me a discount for it i would take it
and the fellow said he would give me a 3.5$ discount on it and i had walked out
today i went there again and he asked me how much i would give for the fish and i said i would give 25$ and the fellow agreed
i know i could have got it for lesser as no one would have bought a tail less fish, but then again i kinda am happy to have got him
he is right now in a 20g Q tank will be moving him in one of the bigger tanks or i might buy that 4' across and 2' tall used hex for him
