Looking good, those are some nice fish.
 
One of the few almost totally black cichlids, they are very active predators, constantly darting at high speed, and hard to get pics of.

I had an adult breeding group 5 or so years ago before I had a real camera, and have always regretted getting rid of them.

They get a very interesting almost prehistoric face and profile when fully grown @ 7"-8", and easily hold their own with larger cichlids (I have always kept them with Central American and Malagasy cichlids).

Not sure why more folks don't keep Stomatepia pindu (and other Barombi-Mbo fish)...

They're really unusual in behavior, not too aggressive, one of the few truly black fish...and not really demanding.

I think I'm one of the only folks in the country breeding them right now (not sure if Bob Grauer in Colorado still is...), which is really a shame.
