From what I understand (if I'm thinking of the same fish:the flatwhisker or Barbad catfish)they get about 3 to 5 pounds on average (wild)but can get to about 15 pounds.
Edit:I found a pic of what looks like a 30 pounder on google.

It's possible,not much is available about this fish,and it wasn't available last I looked(about four years ago)
 
Someone is offering fish under this name currently, I forgot who. I've not checked its ID to see if it is indeed it. I saw a photo but didn't dwell on it long enough. It was an unusual-looking catfish.

If it is, it'd be wonderful because I've never seen one offered for sale ever before. But I'd ask the seller for good pics and post them on Planet Catfish for an ID.

Not ringing a bell.

IIRC I saw it on Bluegrassaquatics list or some such.
 
I remember Shark Aquarium having a cat listed as one.

Yep,that was it.It kind of reminded me of a vulture cat.
