Pink Convict breeding pair in the pond!

Yesterday I just purchased a pink convict breeding pair for $10 and now they are in my pond! Its summer time so the water does not get lower than 70F here. They will be in there just for the summer. I checked my pond earlier and they are doing really good and have already chosen their territory....The pond pump! They have been chasing fish that gets to close to the pump. Do you guys think they will spawn there? Later today I am going to stop by homedepot to get them a flower pot for them in hopes of spawning on the pot instead of the pump.

Any questions of comments?

Convicts would spawn in a toilet bowl. I don't think you'll have problems with them spawning, other than eventually having to get rid of crazy amounts of fry :)
 
Thats where the juvi green sunfish comes in, but I do want to keep the first batch. It would be super hard to net all the fry out lol. My ponds 3 feet deep.

You should measure the fish before and after you take them out of the pond?! It would be interesting to see how much size they can put on over one summer in a pond setting.
 
Ill get more pictures soon when the water clears up a bit. I just finished cleaning the pond. Ill definately get some measurements for you guys. They moved to a piece of drift wood I put in there. They are no longer at the pond pump.
 
The male is approaching 3 1/2 inches and female is 2 1/2 inches. Full pond shot with my ghetto filter :)
The pond is 1075 gallons.

Lets hope the best for them ;)
