I found some eggs in my tank. Can i move the rock they are on into a bucket for cleaning? or should i just do water changes? the water is about 70ish and the pair are only one inch. They dug a really cool tunnel under the rock. so i don't want to piss them off by moving all the stuff around again on them. oH and i have a black F left in the tank... should i move him out? his just hidding right now and eating. no known problem but when he get close to there cave he gets chased off.

Just do a small water change and leave the parents...Congrats on the eggs!

I dont got any fish to feed them too :\ My LMB is a pellet eater. maybe i should get something to eat them all up ^.^

Its been a week and only 2 eggs looked like that poped. But i dont see fry. So should i just toss the rock and clean it? still a few eggs left but i dont think it worked. Oh and can i have a com pleco in the tank with the Pinks? the rocks are getting all brown :S

the fish are probably just wriggling on the bottom under the rock, let everythin be the fish know what theyre doing mor ethen u obviously... raise the fry and sell em to your LFS for 25 cents or 50 cents each

you should see the fry swimming good on there own about a week or so after u saw the eggs! i have 2 pairs spawning togethe rin my 55

But its been little over a week from the eggs and only 2 looked poped.but i dont see anything. So im guessing they are duds.

are the eggs all white ? maybe have a fungi growing on them? good eggs will turn a amber color within a couple days of laying. also if they do hatch the parents will move them to a "pit" near the spawn site. then within 4days after hatching the fry should be visible and swimming around.

they are still pail/pink color. and the pit is right under it. maybe ill just toss in a pleco to eat it up so i can clean the tank ;\
