I bought these at my LFS. If you are local to socal go get some. There are plenty at Tropical Imports in Glendale. Someone traded them in!

I bought these about two hours ago and they are RAD!! look at the colors I've seen Pink convicts with orange and orange red but Lemon yellow!!! These were the younger ones too! They have big females with even more intense coloration!!

I bought three in total. Two females and a male.

and a male. The male isn't as impressive but carries a bit of yellow too.

For my fellow photo geeks curious about how I took the picture.

Oh crap. Just realized the male has yellow eyes.

By the way guys I made up the name "lemon convict"
far as I know they are still leucistics with yellow.

Female convict is amazing! Someone should selectively breed the reds out into them. I like this morph, though!

very cool! In college at the LFS, one time someone dropped off at least 100 pink convicts that were yellow. They werent white or pink and the "orange" patch on the females wasnt orange, it was yellow. There were about 10 males out of the 100 convicts. No males showed dominance. What was strange was, all the females were bigger than all the males and none of males were breeding with the females. The females were so big and horny, that there were at least 10 pairs of lesbian female convicts breeding all around in the 125gallon. Seems that none of the eggs ever hatched though. Almost all were white the many visits I made there.

Anyways....good find! I wonder if hikari gold or krill will give them the orange again. That yellow trace on the male is awesome! Breed him out the line for that trait. Yellow marbled convicts!

on my normal cons the males have a tint of red on the tail and fins very small tho

They are really vibrant! Thanks for the insight into how you did the photos as well, its helpful to novices like myself, lol

I have a female con that looks very much like yours; I didn't think I would like pink convicts, but when I saw here at the LFS, I made an impulse buy

great little fish, beautiful colors on the fins . . .

What's funny about what you mention is the females were very aggressive on these too. I saw tiny females duking it out with large females and no bonded male within the immediate vicinity that would give her added bravado.
