pink spot on my spotted gar

I just got my spotted gar shipped to my house 2 days ago it came shipped with a pink spot on its side kinda sticks out a bit

A picture helps. Take a closer look to see if maybe there's a parasite attached to the fish. I'd change out some of the water, use a bit of salt and raise the temperature a bit just for safe measure.
