I was at the LFS and saw some pink tailed characins, Im am a common custimer in there so they dont care about me feeding them on my own....I was curious to see what they ate so i threw in a rosy red and amazingly they went to town on it. They tore that thing to shreds just like their relative RBP.
I snatched one up so fast and he is now in my 10 gal growout with a Pbass baby and is already buddies with him and I have seen a very large personality change in the Pbass....(hes not terrified of me anymore)
This pink tailed characin is nuts. After about 15 minuites of acclimating he ate a bunch of krill and brine shrimp.
Well what im wondering is has anyone kept these before. How big do they get and how fast do they grow. Any problems with personality, do you think my pbass and lmb will grow too fast and eat him. Hes about 1"1/2 and my pbass is 1 inch.
