I finally have my first pink tail.He has not eaten in 2 days.I know it is not much time but I would like to kmow:How much time can my 5 inch chalceus be without eating?What trick can I do to make him eat? Thanks.

I’m sure just from being introduced to the tank thats why it’s not eating. Can go for weeks w/o eating. But don’t worry as it should eat some floating foods in a few days. Provide some floating plants to help reduce stress. Wouldn’t stress it. Mine would take floating and sinking foods.
mine took 2 days to eat. got him last sunday. he eats like a pig now. he will not touch bloodworms but brine shrimp and floating pellets are his fav so far it seems
last nite while I was cleaning glass with the lid open and my hand in the tank, my pink tail flew up and outta the tank, did a u turn mid air, and flew back in !!! holy crap man crazy little bugger
LOL you aint kidding. I couldn't believe the u turn in mid air. was like he was givin me a warning shot!!! im goin to my LFS today to pick up some java moss. good idea thanx
