What are the chances of a pink tailed chalceus living peacefully in a 150g with , tiger striped , red hooks and Geophagus red head tapejos , also would like a large group of tetra although not sure which type would be safe enough ?

Should be fine but will need a big large tank for all the fish mentioned.

Shouldn't be a problem. Which fish concerns you regarding the safety of the tetras? PTC's aren't an issue if you're worried about them eating the tetras unless you choose something really small. Ive never had a PTC exhibit aggression to anything but other PTC's.

I would agree with this assessment with one caveat: There was a time years ago when I had three tin foil barbs that pestered my pink tail until one day he finally drilled one in the flank, removing some scales. After that they left him alone and he did the same. I had quite a few smaller fish in the tank at the time that he never bothered.

I think I will try just one then , they don't sound overly aggressive . Ideally everyone gets along .

That should be fine, although my then 4.5" chalceus killed a 2.5" butterfly without much prior aggression. He also ate some of it so it was likely predatory.

Be careful with smaller fish

If I do get one , is there any shoaling tetra that would be big enough/deep bodied to survive ?

I was worried that the ptc would pick off any tetra I have . Trying to think of large tetras
