On Friday I helped a coworker clean a 55 gallon aquarium which had 2 blue gouramis. He said he had them in there for about 3 years and if I had to guess he hasn't clean the tank in three years. He moved the gouramis to a diffrent tank and we did a 100% water change on the 55 gallon. We did not rinse the gravel which is large and has many gaps.
when filling up the tank the water was gross it had a red brown film on top. After the weekend I got to school and his tank water had a pink tint to it. Very noticable tint. What could of caused this.
