wondering if a lone pink tail chalceus would be an ok tankmate for some pups.

Read that they have the potential to be fin nippers, anyone keep them with their rays?

I have 4 chalceus spread out over a few of my tanks, but I have 2 in my 240 and I just added my motoro pups. I have seen them nip rays yet, but the biggest one can be a bully and chases my juvie peacock bass the same size. If you keep more than one, I would keep more than 3 because the will pick on other chalceus if you keep to small of a group.

I only have one at the moment but reading up on them there is a lot of talk that they get aggro towards other fish and what seems like when bored they start to nip fins.

I had 5 of them around 5 inches and all of them got ate by one 9" female marble. She was swimming along the surface and pouncing on them in open water and taking them to the bottom and eating them.
