pinnatus bat gone pick at my maxima clam?

i like the pinnatus batfish at my lfs (rt4 aquarium) alot, I've heard they may bother all sorts of inverts what do you guys think? any experience with the pinnatus? I've heard it can b a challenge
 
thanks for the advice man. i agree after doing a little more research. thats basically what all reading material and advice i got said too, "will probably pick at my maxima and gets pretty big". beautiful fish though.
 
Yes the Platax pinnatus is a large fish. It like all batfish tend to pick at sessile invertebrates. The pinnatus is also traditionally very difficult to keep although, their have been aquarium raised specimens coming into the hobby recently. My local fish store has bought three or four individuals this year alone. I do not have one though and have no personal experience keeping them. It does need at least a 200 gallon tank I would think to grow any where near full size.
