So I got a UV sterilizer and attached it to side of the cabinet and then with great difficulty fixed the hosing to the inlet and outlet of the unit, this took ages as it appeared the hose was just too small to fit over it. Anyway got there in the end, wife came home from work, fancied a KFC for dinner so as we live next to one, walked up got it and walk back to enjoy in front of the telly.
As soon as I opened the door I heard water, thought WTF!! Half the tank emptied out over the floor, talk about a panic, I didnt know what to do first. The inlet hose for the UV had came loose.
Anyway wife took it surprisingly well and it didnt take that look to mop up, and touch wood (no pun intended) the laminate hasnt warped or lifted.
The hoses are now secured with jubilee clips.
Oh and fish are all ok.
