based on the characteristic body shape, shape of the head, and solid black tail....I'm gonna guess at this point it's S. hastatus. That's an extremely rare fish, and I am no expert, but that's what it looks like. The picture is not all that great for id, and id's by picture are at best good guesses. Other possibilities are S. rhombeus, S. compressus, or S. spilopleura.

geryi's have a violet line running from dorsal fin to bottom of jaw. It looks like a racing stripe. They are usually light in coloration.

As I've learned recently, color is the last thing you should look at when identifying Serras. Look at the angle of the head, shape of the mouth, length of jaw, and pattern on the caudal fin. Those are all more reliable than looking at the color of life, because the COL can vary according to diet, color of substrate, part of the amazon where it was collected.
