Does anyone use some kind of cover while cleaning the tank? Like gloves of somesort? I was wondering cause i know reds will run but wht if one is a revolutionist. And decides ur the next meal.

I don't use anything to clean my tanks just pay attention on the fish. if you want I guess you can get a chain mail suit like this one

or just the arm part.

I'd like a "part" of that but not the arm....:naughty:

I know which part you like, and I like that part too :) but that suit goes for $23k so very pricy.
I'm sure the "insert" is not included with the purchase of that suit :(

When i cleaned there tank at the fish store, i didnt use anything. There more afraid of you then you are of them . Just keep an eye on them and if they get weird then just try later or use the fish net as a barracade. But any fresh cuts on your hand or cutting up meats with ur hands might make them be a little skidish and proabably make them hungry

What would happen if u fed them before u cleaned and they were full. Would it be ok or would they be hungry still? My opinion that it wldnt be best idea

they don't always bite you out of hunger, sometimes fear will drive them mad too, just keep an eye on them and no sudden movement. feed them before will def. help to reduce the risk.
what is that you do to have to need to put your bare hand/arm into the tank all the time anyway?

I stick my bare hand in all my tanks and don't think twice of it. If a fish gets too close, I chase it away with my hand. They are more afraid of you then then you should be of them.
