Piranah permit

If you read my reply on the last page of that legality thread, you will see the actual regs laid out by the division of wildlife. You can keep piranhas in colorado without a permit. If you want to see for yourself, go to the dow website.

i believe you go to city or town hall to get the permit.

I have never had a problem with keeping piranhas. I actually had a DOW officer come into my house (had to sort out a waterfowl stamp issue) and he was amazed by my old redbellies. He wanted me to help him set up a tank of his own!

Did you buy them in Colorado? I have been to many fish stores and can't find them. I used to have a nice tank with 6 red bellies about 8in or so but had to get rid of them years ago, I miss those guys.

Dave's Killer Fish up in Denver always has some species of piranha in. Salsa just bought a sanchezi from them.
