  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Yes other Red Belly Piranha , And even some times they my eat one another
but unlikely if you feed and keep good care of them .
A Pleco may work , It has for lots of piranha keepers and my self .
And only other fish I can think of would be Exodon paradoxus :)
Good luck .

Piranhas are very friendly with other fish, so friendly, that they'll have them over for dinner!! Just kidding...

As Master K said, other pygocentrus piranhas, plecos, exodons, occasionally other characins like Silver dollars, pacu, and tetras.

You could also check the piranha tankmate sticky at the top of this forum for more information!! ^^

they are friendly, but they sharp teeth are not.

lol, really, I have no problems housing my piranhas with other fish

They will try to shoal with whatever tankmate you try, so make sure it's an active type of fish. Otherwise, you'll end up with a piranha who thinks he's a pleco.

I think its only characins
