piranha! a possible buy... help!

:naughty: hey! i am planning to buy a rbp... though... im scareed not to give it the right amount of food...

and.. theres another problem wwith hitler... a.k.a my mom.. shes kinda :screwy:...

and doesnt allown me to buy a piranha because she doesnt understand the nature of this beautiful species!!!!

im going nuts.. please help! :nilly:
 
welcome to MFK! Good to have you here. If I were to get just 1 piranha, it would be a rhom. But you need a big tank. Try to reason with your mom, but remember, she gets the final word
 
im finally convincing her... though... im still worried in what to feed him! feeder fish are a lil expensive though i do have a speciallized tank for them... how about meat...??
 
depeds on what you get. my wifes black rhom only eats live feeders. if feeders are really expensive, breed convicts in another tank for feeders
 
fish meat is best. Cold-blooded animals shouldn't be given mammal meat because of the fat. Tilapia or other fish fillets should be perfect. Also, shrimp, krill, other invertebrates
 
Hikari Cichlid gold pellets, or Hikari Bio-Gold+, with the occasional miscellaneous cichlid thrown in once every other week.
 
i got tilapia filets in my fridge, yay! how much and when should i feed him...

im a complete n00b... thanks for answering all my n00bie questions XD
