Piranha attack in Brazil

Piranha attack on human is hypered, mostly seen in Hollywood movies. It can happen, but extremely rare, no more frequent than getting bitten by peacock bass. Piranha are naturally shy and don't attack swimmers unprovoked. The only time Piranha are dangerous is in a drying pool where they are concentrated and starved. Thousands of Indian boys swim in the Amazon river daily and reported attack is extremely rare. I've visited the Amazon in Peru and Brazil, and swam in the same water I fished for Piranha. The only caution I faced was to unhook a caught Piranha to avoid getting bitten accidentally.1765403644450.jpeg
