Piranha diet

I have kept several and they got a pretty wide mix of food, live fish including anchovies, live shrimp and crayfish, market shrimp and chunks of herring, earthworms, frogs, crickets, some floating pellets, and once a rat but that was just nasty and not repeated.
Our guys (a school of 8, and then a trio in another tank, all adult red bellies) at my work used to get the following:
Feeder goldfish
Feeder ghost shrimp
Raw shrimp
Squid
Capelin (fish)
Krill
Silversides
Sand eels
They now get...New Life Spectrum H20 Wafers, or the Extra Large Floating Pellets. They have never been more deep red. Literally looks like fresh blood on their fins.

If you feed your Ps A high quality food like hikari gold they will get all the nutrition they will ever need.

i feed mine different things just becuz iwant to see where there limit is my list is guppys , roseys and for not live shrimp u-10s prefered tilapaia chilean seabass never pelets yet but will try
krill, raw shrimp, beefheart, white fish fillets.....i think my fish enjoy the beefheart and raw shrimp the best and the beefheart really brings out the color in all my fish since i feed it to all of them
