Ok a guy on craigslist wanted rid of his 3 "rbp" so I decided to drive 3 hours for them. His tank was so green you could even see the fish but after the trip there I didnt care if they were goldfish, I wasn't going home empty handed. After the 3 hour trip back and finally getting them in thier new home I dont think these are red bellies. I believe they are pygocentrus Ternetzi but I could be wrong. Also, They all measure from 6" to 8" and were in a 29 gallon tank. It looks like I believe they are they have "chimples" as I've heard them called on here. Any good way to help get rid of them or does it just take time. Thanks

Chimples will heal on their own over time. As for ID, they are red belly piranhas. They just look a little washed out probably due to stress and such.

Thanks. I've just never seen reds so gold. You can't really see it in the pictures but it's like big shiny gold coins swimming around my tank. lol Honestly I'm surprised they made it. Not cause of the transport but because of the conditions they were in before
