can someone post pictures of red bellied piranhas at different levels of maturity? i want to know if they go through certain physical changes or if two of mine are just wierd shaped

should be able to find the pix you are looking for online, just google it. baby rbp, juvy rbp, adult rbp, etc

whats weird about your rbp? post some pix

lol, jp's like DO YOUR OWN HOMEWORK! lol, kidding, in all honesty, there's so many variations other then when they're babies, posting pics may not do you any good. Would be interesting to hear what makes you think your 2 are weird though

well the bigger two are deeper bodied and more red they are more of dinner plates, the smaller two are longer than they are tall and have more of an olive with tinges of red, they were all from the same hatch so not different species, do you have to resize pictures for this forum?

no, i don't think it's a stage. i can't say mine came from the same batch of fry (i honestly don't know, they were only a couple inches when i got them though) but my smallest 2 are more streamlined while all the rest are very round, especially when you compare the front of the heads. I figured it had to do with the bigger ones getting more food and the smaller ones tend to spend more time in the powerhead
