this morning while i was cleaning my tank, i noticed my was floating sideways on the top of tank. I then noticed it's got fungus on its belly and immediatly quarantined it in a 30g tank. However, when i looked more closely, i noticed how a section of its gill looks chipped. i can see white thread like material comming out and going back in everytime it breath. im not sure if it's part of its gills or fungus strands. So far, i put 2 kinds of fungus cure as well as aquariam salt into the tank. i have encountered fungus before but not as severe as this. any advice or tips would be appreciated. :nilly::nilly::nilly:

It sounds like cottonwool but without a pic for ID it's all just a guess as is the cure. Best of luck - when their floating sideways covered in something it's a real bad sign.

sorry.. i'll post the pic as soon the stupid camera recharges. anyway, i think it's getting worse. i can now actually grab onto him without it trying to get away.
